The primary responsibility of this role is to support partnerships and sell Dolby audio/video technology solutions to automotive customers, including Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and relevant ecosystem partners in China. This P3 role is expected to manage smaller or clearly defined accounts, support customer engagement mainly at product manager and execution levels, contribute to project execution, and support revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate should possess a strong record in sales, business development, or account management, preferably with exposure to automotive, consumer electronics, mobile, or related technology industries.

Key Responsibilities

Support and manage licensing and commercial relationships with assigned Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and ecosystem partners covered by Dolby technologies.

Develop and execute account plans for designated smaller or defined accounts, supporting sales objectives and customer engagement priorities under guidance from senior team members.

Contribute to revenue planning and business execution for assigned opportunities

Support customer engagement primarily at product manager and execution levels, helping drive follow-ups, project progress, customer communications, and opportunity development.

Understand automotive customer business needs, product plans, technical requirements, and decision criteria, and identify suitable Dolby technologies or service areas to support customer value creation.

Gather intelligence on customer product roadmaps, market dynamics, competitor information, and emerging automotive entertainment trends, and share insights with relevant Dolby segment, product, marketing, licensing, and engineering teams.

Provide practical market analysis and customer feedback to support Dolby’s automotive business development in China, while building foundational automotive industry knowledge and network.

Support project management activities by coordinating actions, tracking milestones, facilitating communication between customers and Dolby teams, and ensuring customer requirements and internal follow-ups are clearly captured.

Work cross-functionally with Sales Operations and other internal stakeholders, with opportunities to grow broader engagement across Legal, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Licensing teams.

Participate in customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and ecosystem discussions to strengthen Dolby’s presence in the automotive market and develop a network of supporters and partners.

Provide regular business updates, forecasts, customer activity summaries, project status, risks, and opportunity insights to management and cross-functional partners.

Demonstrate integrity, loyalty to Dolby, a proactive hunter mindset, developing storytelling capability, and effective use of relevant tools, systems, and AI-enabled ways of working.
Education Background, Technical Skills, Abilities, and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related disciplines preferred. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred but not required.

Over 5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, market expansion, or customer-facing roles.

Experience in automotive, consumer electronics, mobile devices, audio/video technologies, digital media, software, licensing, or related technology industries is preferred.

Ability to manage assigned customer activities, follow through on project actions, and contribute to account execution with appropriate supervision; no people-management responsibility is expected for this role.

Strong focus on sales goals with demonstrated ability to contribute to business results and support revenue growth.

Good negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate customer inputs and market feedback into actionable insights.

Ability to provide clear clarification and practical insights on customer, transactional, technical, and business issues for internal stakeholders and management teams.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of working independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Ability to develop solid account relationships with product, technical, business, procurement, and execution-level stakeholders within customer organizations.

Strong sales and business development, time management, communication, decision-making, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills. Must project a professional image and have strong speaking skills.

Understanding of automotive technology trends and ecosystem dynamics—including in-car entertainment, car audio, connected vehicles, digital media, consumer electronics, mobile ecosystems, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and related decision-making criteria—is advantageous.

Experience in any of the following areas is advantageous: automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, NEV companies, traditional automotive companies, TV, set-top boxes, DSP, software development, licensing projects, mobile phone manufacturing, or other consumer electronics companies.

Interest in audio and video products, music, gaming, film and television, or premium entertainment experiences.

The position requires approximately 20%–30% travel time.

Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
