Job Summary

The position objective is to provides our customers and partners a way to establish Dolby technology for online delivery, specifically help our customers to resolve the issues when playback Dolby contents. We are currently focusing on adaptive streaming standards, DASH and HLS.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve the issues and add new features to the popular opensource players and contribute back the changes to make them available public.
  • Support stakeholders and FAE team to resolve the issues and accelerate Dolby's ecosystem.
  • Work with the internal team, product development team, and other cloud services teams within Dolby, contribute to Dolby OTT ecosystem continuously.

 

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable field.
  • 3+ years Programming experience in Java.
  • 1+ years Programming experience in JavaScript.
  • Understanding of Android Media Framework.
  • Independent, self-motivated person requiring minimal supervision.
  • Fluent English communication in reading and writing.

 

Desirable experience and skills

  • Developing experience in opensource player, like ExoPlayer, Shaka Player et al.
  • Understanding in media container, like MP4.
  • Be familiar with adaptive stream protocol, like MPEG-DASH and/or HLS.
