In this role you will manage the Dolby Audio for Wearables product. You will be responsible for the success of your product by working with engineering in the building of your product, with marketing in positioning & messaging, and with sales in driving commercial uptake and business operations in pricing the product.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develops a vision for the product using Voice of Customer analysis, consumer engagement metrics and consumer preferences.
  • Validates and modulates the product vision with Dolby’s customers and partners in the product segment.
  • Ideates product enhancements with Dolby’s Advanced Technology Group (ATG) to bring new research and innovation to the product so that the consumer experience is elevated
  • Breaks down the overall work of the platform into discrete technology components and helps set up teams to work on the individual components.
  • Develops and owns the platform product roadmap.
  • Run your product as a business by leading the creation of the business cases, business model, segmentation, and pricing.
  • Support Sales with detailed product information, sales tools, product training, and briefings with customers, eco-system partners, and prospects.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education Requirements:

 

  • Passion for enhancing consumer media experiences and for “pushing the technology envelope”. Be ready to tell us about how you’ve done this a couple of times in the past. We’d love to hear about not just big successes, but also small consumer centric changes you may have implemented that have made it life easier or better for consumers.
  • Confidence to state your thoughts and the ability to easily and logically describe it to the person you are interacting with is strongly desired. As a product leader you are expected to be able to speak with business decision makers, technical team members and senior research scientists – with customers (mobile OEM manufacturers) and internally at Dolby.  
  • Knowledge and experience in consumer electronics, audio services, microphones and acoustic pickup technologies or mobile software products. We believe that experience in one or more of these areas is required.
  • Experience in managing across a complete product or feature lifecycle, from initial concept to end-of-life, is something we are looking for. Normally we see this when you have 3-6 years of work experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams, both functionally and geographically.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Education or experience in a technical/engineering discipline will directly help. Cross domain expertise in fields such as data science, business management or economics is desired.   
  • Ability to travel domestically and overseas. International travel and work experience desirable.
