Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Contribute significantly to the execution of a complete test initiative for innovative Dolby Imaging/Video algorithms and software starting with fresh proof of concept to delivering high quality, scalable, reliable media solutions for the world
  • Partner with research teams, development and product owners as an integrated effort
  • Able to work in fast-paced working environment with dynamic projects; Agile teamwork experience is a plus.
  • Participate in schedule estimations; test planning; test design reviews; test reporting
  • Independently create test designs and implement tests
  • Extend and maintain CI and test fixtures, including hardware, software, and automation environments
  • Follow best practices for source control development, continuous integration, automated testing, and release management. 
  • Produce and maintain useful and usable documentation of work.
  • Partner with technical writers to provide and review technical data relating to documentation for the SDK going into technical publication.

 

Requirements:

  • Completed Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Passion for multimedia technologies and creating amazing experiences
  • 5+ years of experience in professional imaging and or system and application engineering
  • Experience deploying and maintaining test automation frameworks
  • Professional level experience coding with Python
  • Key understanding of all aspects of software development process, bug tracking and reporting.
  • Experience testing applications related to computer graphics, computer vision, image processing and/or video processing.
  • Microsoft Windows and/or Linux experience is required.
  • Strong, proactive communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

Desired:

  • Energetic and curious collaborator
  • Interest and experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude
  • Experience with scipy and numpy
  • Experience with Resolve, Baselite, and Colorfront applications.
  • Experience with CUDA, OpenCV and OpenMP.
  • Experience testing C/C++.
  • Experience with Git and Jira.
  • Knowledge of video technologies, cinema and television production and post-production workflows.
  • Knowledge of HDR technologies such as Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is  $137,100 - 188,300 which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
