Essential Job Functions

Contribute significantly to the execution of a complete test initiative for innovative Dolby Imaging / Video algorithms and software, from proof‑of‑concept through delivery of high‑quality, scalable, reliable media solutions

Partner closely with research, development, and product teams as part of an integrated engineering effort

Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with dynamic projects; Agile experience is a plus

Participate in schedule estimation, test planning, test design reviews, and test reporting

Independently design and implement test strategies and test cases

Extend and maintain CI systems and test fixtures, including hardware, software, and automation environments

Follow best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing, and release management

Produce and maintain clear, usable documentation of testing work

Partner with technical writers to provide and review technical data for SDK documentation and publication

 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

Passion for multimedia technologies and delivering high‑quality user experiences

5+ years of professional experience in imaging, systems, or application engineering

Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining test automation frameworks

Strong professional‑level coding experience in Python

Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, bug tracking, and reporting

Experience testing software related to computer graphics, computer vision, image processing, and/or video processing

Experience working on Windows and/or Linux platforms

Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

Desired Qualifications

Experience with NumPy, SciPy

Experience with professional video/color tools such as DaVinci Resolve, Baselight, Colorfront

Experience with CUDA, OpenCV, OpenMP

Experience testing C/C++ codebases

Familiarity with Git and Jira

Knowledge of video technologies and post‑production workflows

Knowledge of HDR technologies including Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG

Comfort working with or validating AI‑based models

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is  $137,100 - 188,300 which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
