We seek a talented and experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join a growing team building out a cloud services platform at Dolby. You will join a team of Site Reliability Engineers responsible for managing the 24/7 operations of our SaaS infrastructure for intelligent media processing and delivery systems. 




  • Partner with a distributed team of engineers to own and manage 24/7 operation of A/V content processing and delivery SaaS systems according to a Service Level Agreement.
  • Plan and execute software release configuration changes for applications and cloud infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to design and enhance software architecture to improve scalability, reliability, cost, and performance.
  • Identify and implement monitoring and logging for critical infrastructure and application components.
  • Work closely with other DevOps team members to help monitor and remediate infrastructure performance and operations issues.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation for production services to help meet uptime SLAs.
  • Explore and evaluate new technologies and solutions to push the system capabilities forward.
  • Take ownership of various Infrastructure related projects and ensure successful and timely completion.




  • Experience in deploying and operating highly scalable and fault-tolerant cloud-based applications
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in several of the following
    •  DevOps best practices and tools, setting up CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
    • Cloud-native application deployment, reliability, performance monitoring/alerting systems, & Incident management processes and tools.
    • Cloud platforms architectures (ex. AWS, GCP, Azure) and common features (ex. S3, EC2, ALB, IAM, Lambda), Networking and security, sysadmin.
    • Microservices, containerization, orchestration, and scaling (ex. Docker, Kubernetes), terraform
    • Experience with SRE best practices such as on-call support, incident management, incident postmortem, and root cause analysis.
    • Familiarity with scripting in at least one programming language
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in the DevOps field



Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with working in distributed team structure across different geographical locations.
  • Previous work experience supporting high traffic Kubernetes hosted microservices in a production environment.
