Dolby Senior Support Engineers are key experts in Dolby’s audio and video technologies. They provide technical guidance to licensees and partners during the planning, designing, manufacture, testing, and deployment of our technologies. Support Engineers ensure the performance and quality of Dolby technologies in partner products and workflows meet our standards. This role is with the Commercial Partnerships Group and is based in Dolby’s Wrocław, Poland office.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide technical support for media workflow products such as Dolby Encoding Engine, Dolby Reference Player, and Dolby Media Encoder.
  • Provide integration support for regional Solution Engineers who are helping Dolby customers and partners enable Dolby technologies (e.g. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos) in their services and products.
  • Become a residential expert for Dolby’s products and technologies, address in-depth technical issues, and help provide training to others both internally and externally.
  • Be the voice of the customer, provide feedback to program teams, and identify the gaps in Dolby deliverables early to drive higher customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineering team to ensure quality of Dolby SDK’s and licensee product implementations.
  • Be the driver and owner of knowledge base content for various Dolby products such as Dolby Encoding Engine to help the team to scale.
  • Respond to customer issues via Case Management system and in support forums.
  • Up to 10-20% domestic and international travel may be required.



  • BSEE or similar and experience in professional video and audio or related fields.
  • The ability to learn a variety of technical topics quickly and thoroughly.
  • Experience in technical customer support with exposure to DSP and one or more of the following: broadcast technologies, software development, technology licensing, digital circuitry, or testing professional electronic products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Occasional travel within Europe and to US.

Desired Competencies:

  • Experience coding in C and/or C++.
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (PERL, Python, BASH, etc.).
  • Knowledge of video and audio technologies, broadcast standards, OTT streaming technologies, and their applications in content distribution infrastructures.
  • Interest in music, audio/video production, recording engineering, broadcast engineering film audio or acoustics.
