This is a rare opportunity to join a cutting edge Research team for a practically focused paid internship. You will have the opportunity to work with world class engineers and researchers on cutting edge technologies, as well as continue your learning through a dynamic on the job experience.

As an Intern Researcher, you will be responsible for the building and evaluation of software prototypes for creating and manipulating sound. You will be involved with experimentation using cutting edge sound techniques. You’ll need to have well developed Max/MSP skills, a genuine passion for audio and sound, and an enquiring mind.

 

 The internship program has been created with the intention of bringing the next generation of engineering and research talent to Dolby; participation in the program is a bonus when it comes to consideration for full-time opportunities within the company.

 

Education, Skills, Abilities, and Experience Required:

  • Current Music Technology/Acoustics/ Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related disciplines student  - or recent Graduate (up to 2 years)
  • Strong Max/MSP skills.
  • Familiarity with Ableton Live.
  • Familiarity with Max4Live.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript within Max/MSP.
  • Sound Design experience.
  • Spatial audio experience is desirable.
  • High level written and verbal communication in both general and technology specific applications.
  • The ability to work unsupervised when required.
