As a Software Engineer in Test in a newly formed Platform Media Quality team, you will be responsible for the development and evolution of frameworks enabling end-to-end analysis of the audio and video quality provided by our Interactivity APIs. This will be an exciting time to join and be a part of developing the future for the team.

 

We are welcoming candidates with knowledge of web technologies, automated testing, infrastructure and tooling. You will help shape the future of media quality on the platform by exploring performance through the test frameworks you develop. You will deliver quality work against technical and schedule challenges in an agile environment while following strong software design and process principles to meet our team goals. Responsibilities : 
•    Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks and tooling that will enable the team to develop and execute audio and video tests
•    Contribute and collaborate on designing automated tests to achieve an increase in platform test coverage
•    Work cross-functionally and across geographies with other technical teams to align on automation and project goals to meet business goals
•    Interprets and extracts work items from requirements to enable a prioritized workflow
•    Maintains relationships with technical peers locally and across geographies to learn and share knowledge and reduce duplication of work

 

Requirements :  

  •  B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or comparable field
  • Strong development skills in at least one of the following: Python, Go or JavaScript 
  • Professional experience with Web-based and RESTful APIs
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and an understanding of microservices
  • Strong communication, collaboration, time management and organizational skills, and a thorough approach to problem solving

 

Nice to haves :

  • Knowledge of WebRTC (or other VoIP / cloud-based communications systems)
  • Experience working with audio and video technologies
  • Signal processing, computer vision and/or networked multimedia experience
  • Practical use of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems
  • Thorough understanding of test methodologies, test design and test best practices
  • Ability to lead others in the context of a project team
