this exciting new role is responsible for testing and qualification of “Dolby On” technologies integration on iOS and Android operating systems as middleware libraries. The position requires the candidate to be proficient in automation test-strategy, automation tools and frameworks for functional and non-functional quality assessment of audio capture, processing, playback and streaming features. Day-to-day activities for this role include scoping, planning, designing and developing automated tests for “Dolby On” integration on mobile platforms which can also be shipped to customers in an SDK.




  • Conduct early project scoping in collaboration with project and development teams;
  • Understand digital audio technology features, review and propose technologies for automation, develop test strategies and contribute proposals for testability;
  • Lead and review test plans including test design, test coverage, test approach, risk assessment and reporting metrics;
  • Design and develop new automation tools and frameworks for functionals and non-functional testing and reporting;
  • Designing and implementing new test methods to address next generation capabilities in Dolby products;
  • Utilize and adapt existing test automation tools;
  • Report issues through a formal bug tracking system and work with the engineering team to help isolate, debug and resolve issues/bugs;
  • Participate in bug review meetings and analyze bug status data and metrics;
  • Help coach and develop fellow team members;
  • Represent QA as a member of the project scrum teams; and
  • Stay abreast of industry software testing tools and best practices and make significant contributions to the development and deployment of new test technologies, tools or methods;




  • Minimum BSc degree in science or engineering;
  • 5+ years’ experience working as a software or software test engineer mobile SDK development projects;
  • Professional experience in programming in C/C++, Python, Perl, Java or Bash;
  • Demonstrable experience in test strategy development, test planning, test case design and implementation;
