The Company continues to grow with several key engineering positions opening up; for this position, we invite you to apply for the role of Staff QA Engineer within the Entertainment Technology Team. This high-performance team concentrates on state-of-the-art next-generation immersive audio - with a consumer home focus. It has been responsible for developing cutting-edge technologies with worldwide impact such as Dolby Atmos, Dolby AC-4, Dolby Digital Plus, and Dolby Headphone.

 

The position is responsible for ensuring high-quality and rapid software releases by contributing to product testing strategy and the automated regression testing that enables the roll-out of next generation of Dolby technologies. Applicants require a background in software testing and test automation, a passion for testing and technology and a high level of motivation and initiative.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent;
  • Experience working as software or software test engineer or equivalent;
  • Experience with working with multimedia, communications or DSP and coding technologies;
  • Experience with designing and building test automation frameworks;
  • Exposure to testing software on range of software and hardware platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows, MacOSX and Unix/Linux;
  • Proficiency using Python;
  • Software testing experience, including designing and implementing test plans and test cases;
  • High-level written and verbal communication in both general and technology-specific applications;
  • Ability to learn independently;
  • Demonstrated strong analytical thinking and passion for problem solving;
  • Someone who loves working in a team;

 

Highly regarded attributes:

  • Knowledge of embedded systems and real time operating systems;
  • Understand and have worked with audio interfaces on various desktop, mobile and embedded platforms;
  • Familiar with one or more software development environments such as: Android Studio, Visual Studio, or similar;
  • Experience testing digital signal processing algorithms;
  • Experience with continuous integration tools & servers such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Cruise Control, etc.
  • Experience conducting acoustic measurements and critical listening;
