As an Associate Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting experienced engineers in the testing of the Dolby Reference Player. DRP is a Graphical User Interface application that can playback the latest audio, video formats and supports the newest streaming media technologies. You will have the opportunity to learn about modern multimedia formats including Dolby Atmos, Dolby AC-4, HEVC, MP4, MPEG-DASH, HLS. You will also have the opportunity to learn about professional software testing and test automation from experienced test engineers.



  • Participate in defining test plans and test cases
  • Manual test execution including GUI testing, subjective audio and video quality verification
  • Analyze of test results. Reporting of issues through a bug tracking system and work with the engineering team on debugging and solving them
  • Participate in the development of manual tests - GUI functional tests, user experience tests, audio and video quality tests
  • Participate in the development of automated tests using Python, pytest, Squish


Qualifications and personal skills:

  • B.S or M.S in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a comparable field
  • Knowledge of modern audio and video coding technologies, DSP
  • Experience in programming, Python knowledge highly desired
  • Experience in using Linux/UNIX, macOS and Windows operating systems
  • Very good oral and written communication
  • Ability to achieve results, meet deadlines, and adjust to quickly changing priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and a thorough approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to cooperate with international teams in various time zones (e.g. USA)
