About the EMEA Finance Department:
Based in the EMEA region’s office in either Wroclaw, Poland or Dublin, Ireland, the EMEA Finance Department supports all of Dolby’s EMEA’s entities and payrolls.

About the Role:
As an EMEA Payroll Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing and optimizing our payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions. You’ll collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure compliance, accuracy, and a seamless employee experience.
The key functions of this role are:
- Process and manage payroll for employees across multiple countries (e.g. Ireland, UK, NL and Sweden).
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, labour regulations, and internal policies.
- Maintain and reconcile payroll accounts, including salary, bonuses, stock options, and benefits.
- Partner with HR to ensure accurate employee data and timely updates (new hires, terminations, promotions).
- Coordinate with external payroll providers and statutory auditors as needed.
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and assist with month-end close.
- Support equity compensation reporting and taxation (e.g., RSUs, ESPP).
- Continuously improve payroll processes and automation tools to support scale.
- Assist with SOX compliance and related documentation.
Qualifications:
- Professional Qualification / Certification in Payroll or Finance such as IPass, ACCA.
- 3+ years of experience in payroll accounting, preferably in a Multinational tech company.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems and tools (e.g. SAP EC, Workday, Replicon).
- Familiarity with international payroll and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g. Microsoft office suite, SAP, Oracle).
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Attributes:
- Experience with equity compensation and reporting.
- Knowledge of Irish and some EU payroll regulations.
- Clear and effective communication skills and a team player with a customer-oriented approach.
- Self-starter with hands-on work-style, strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
