As Cloud Analyst you will support all Dolby cloud computing needs, including infrastructure operations, maintenance, support and planning, and everything in between. Not only are you knowledgeable in cloud-based tech, but you have a firm understanding of public cloud providers, platforms and applications, and have solid knowledge of how best to configure these services in response to our business requirements as well as help us become more secure and efficient. In your role you will provide assistance in helping to connect the dots and evolve our cloud operations while at the same time evolving your own capabilities as analyst and with an eye towards expanding our cloud support capabilities.

This position reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Global Infrastructure, based in Europe.


Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Min. 3-5 years of professional business experience in IT infrastructure administration, where your primary job function and responsibilities included the two to three years’ experience in role with a primary focus on Cloud operations
  • Hold the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification as well as complete the basic AWS Security, Identity and Compliance training course (other cloud-related certification also a plus)
  • Experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS
  • Familiar with cloud-specific automation technologies such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible
  • Experience with administration and operation of Linux/UNIX and Windows Server operating systems is required
  • Basic knowledge of Container technologies, Functions as a Service (e.g. Lambda) and REST APIs is a plus
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure is a plus
  • Limited experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace
  • Good written and verbal business communication skills


Roles & Responsibilities

  • You are focused on supporting engineering teams in the operation and management of cloud-based infrastructure for the company. Executing directions provided by business or the cloud architect and following industry and Dolby specific best practices
  • Managing cloud environments following the governance of account management, administration of all new requests in accordance with company security guidelines
  • You are assisting in debugging cloud infrastructure as needed
  • Exhibit strong end-to-end troubleshooting skills for systems, networks, and applications and have the ability to problem-solve issues before they escalate into larger problems
  • Provides basic level support for IT Service delivery to the corporate end user according to service level commitments, corporate policy, corporate standards, and compliance requirements including: Service Request Fulfilment, Incident / Problem / Access / Change Management
  • Meets or beats service level commitments as defined by management team
    • Maintains infrastructure services on a day-to-day basis. Assists in maintenance of 99%+ up-time for Infrastructure systems
    • Good understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives
  • Maintains a good level of customer satisfaction


Job Expectations

  • Work during odd hours to support project go-lives or coordinate with team member in other time zones for critical projects
