Project overview

Dolby.io is a self-service API platform that further broadens the opportunities to bring some of Dolby’s capabilities to enterprise and development space. Dolby.io enables businesses, developers, and content creators to enhance every interaction and every piece of content in order to deliver spectacular communications, collaboration, and audiovisual experiences in their apps and services. With focus on customers we share Dolby’s magic with everyone: from single developer to international enterprise.

Daily tasks:

  • Building test automation framework for a rich media conferencing platform.
  • Execution of automatic tests to ensure high video and audio quality of the platform.
  • Design of test cases and reporting potential risks and problems to the project managers.
  • Test design on cloud voice system.
  • Periodically training of less senior team members.
  • Work on one of our most innovative projects Dolby.IO platform.
  • Work with the Web RTC multimedia to prepare API to build interactive services.

 

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of SQA industry tools.
  • Professional experience with test automation script languages: Python and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
  • Knowledge of VoIP protocols including SIP, RTP, and RTCP.
  • Knowledge of subjective and objective audio/video quality evaluation techniques
  • Proven experience in testing in different environments (Linux, Windows, OS X, mobile platforms).
  • Ability to achieve results, meet deadlines and adjust to quickly changing requirements and environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel. This position may require occasional international travel.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Software Quality Assurance including test plans and test cases design.
  • Experience in analysing quality of video streams in the presence of network impairments.
  • Professional knowledge of browser mechanisms and development tools.
  • Knowledge of Chromium, Electron Framework and WebRTC.
  • Knowledge of video coding standards such as H.264/H.265, VP8/VP9.
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Professional experience with Web-based and RESTful APIs.
