JOB SUMMARY:
Join the Core Technology Architecture team in Dolby’s Entertainment organization to create spectacular experiences for consumers in every home. At Dolby, protecting our intellectual property is as crucial as creating it. As a member of the team, your work will help safeguard Dolby's innovations across all platforms, from embedded systems to consumer devices. We are seeking a Security Architect to help shape our security strategies and protect our technologies worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of security architecture and intellectual property (IP) protection, ensuring Dolby's technologies remain secure across our entire ecosystem.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and maintains security architectures and threat models to protect Dolby's intellectual property across all deployment platforms and device categories
- Provides security guidance and consultation to engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle, including secure coding practices and vulnerability assessments to ensure the development of secure products
- Investigate and evaluate new software protection mechanisms, focusing on optimal balance between cost, complexity, security, and flexibility
- Maintains industry alignment on security standards and provides thought leadership on future security requirements
- Delivers technical leadership to project teams on intellectual property protection implementation and security reviews
- Define test strategies used to verify the level of robustness of both internal and external software protection mechanisms, as defined by product requirements and legal agreements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 10+ years of work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field (Masters preferred)
- Experience with software protection and anti-reverse engineering techniques
- Wide-ranging knowledge of intellectual property (IP) protection and security landscape
- Key technologies and players in the market
- Mechanisms and techniques to protect both hardware and software IP
- Cloud IP delivery mechanism
- In-depth knowledge of the hardware and software mechanisms available in embedded and consumer devices:
- Software protection techniques and countermeasures against reverse engineering
- Knowledge of cryptographic concepts
- Trusted Execution Environment, TrustZone and Virtualization
- Watermarking and tracking techniques
- Provisioning of security assets
- Code protection
- SoC architecture
- Working knowledge of formal security analysis and testing methodologies
- Experience with IP security deployment in embedded and consumer products
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
