As Software Engineer - Backend, you'll be dealing with:

  • Intelligent resource management in the Cloud
  • development in JavaScript/Node
  • Workflow development and management
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Microservices
  • Databases (e.g. MySQL)
  • User/Account management
  • Basic security concepts
  • AWS, Google Cloud, Azure

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and Develop Cloud Service features, components and APIs
  • Take active role in designing the whole system architecture

 

Qualifications and skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Engineering mindset and a strong desire to learn
  • Strong programming skills and design fundaments
  • Basic relational data base knowledge and willingness to deepen expertise in this area
  • Basic knowledge of REST API design and development
  • Professional experience in one of the object-oriented languages (Java, C#, C++ or similar) experience in low-level languages is also a big plus
  • Ability and willingness to use JavaScript/Node.js as a leading technology (professional experience in Node.js is a huge plus)
  • Ability to use scripting or other programming languages when needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Oral and written fluency in English
  • Ability to efficiently cooperate with other engineering teams
  • Ability to cooperate with international teams in various time zones (e.g. USA)
